I cut my teeth in the financial services world almost 20 years ago. After earning my mortgage broker qualifications and spending several years helping clients - specialising in areas including adverse credit, buy-to-let and high net worth - I realised that the industry was missing a crucial element: seamless customer journeys built on solid compliance.
Driven by the belief that better infrastructure was the key to protecting and serving clients more effectively, I partnered with my friend and fellow mortgage broker, Lee Trett. In 2012, we co-founded Echo Finance, a whole-of-market brokerage headquartered in Mirfield, West Yorkshire, designed to merge strict regulatory compliance with cutting-edge tech.
As Echo Finance grew at a frantic pace - today with an adviser headcount of more than 70 - we saw an opportunity to transform how financial professionals source their business. In 2017, we launched LeadCrowd, bringing that same commitment to tech-driven efficiency into the lead gen space.
Alongside building a successful property development business, I have continued to explore new ways to give something back to the industry, and this led Lee and I to launch BrokerBricks in 2026. It’s a customisable toolset for mortgage brokers, built from the ground up to meet their needs, and at its core is an industry-first free criteria sourcing tool.
Parallel to my business ventures in finance, football has always been a core passion in my life. Having played at a high amateur level and spent over five years earning FA youth coaching badges to mentor young players, combining my deal-making expertise with the sports world was a natural next step.
After years of arranging mortgages for professional athletes and passing the FIFA Football Agent examination, I founded xG Football Agency to offer a raft of agent services to athletes at all levels. Today, I apply the same high-stakes negotiation, client-first ethos, and strategic vision to moulding and representing the next generation of football champions.
